Musk has been a vocal supporter of regulation and prudence in the advancement of AI. He has frequently voiced his worries about the potential “civilizational destruction” that could result from the unchecked development of AI technologies. To allay these worries, xAI will employ a novel strategy to guarantee the security of its AI systems.
The ideal strategy for AI safety, in Musk’s opinion, is to promote AI’s understanding of the true nature of the cosmos.
Since Musk views people as the most fascinating thing in the world, he thinks this will ultimately work to humanity’s advantage. “I think it is going to be pro-humanity from the standpoint that humanity is just much more interesting than not-humanity,” he said, as per reports by Reuters.

Despite being a co-founder of OpenAI, the business behind ChatGPT, Musk resigned from its board in 2018. A notable example of the strong engagement of large technology companies in AI development is Microsoft’s investment in OpenAI.
For xAI, Musk has put together a skilled team that includes engineers with backgrounds at well-known tech firms. Igor Babuschkin, formerly of Google’s DeepMind, Tony Wu, a former Googler, Christian Szegedy, a Google research scientist, and Greg Yang, formerly of Microsoft, make up the team.
