On 29th August, Huawei launched its new phone, Huawei Mate 60 Pro with 5G connectivity in China. The unveiling of the new phone was not accompanied with any elaborate ceremony for the media. This is the first phone that Huawei has launched after the US put sanctions on China.
This is the first phone from Huawei that comes with 5G connectivity. On 30th August, Huawei silently unveiled its Mate 60 phone in the Chinese market. Here are the specifications, price and features of this new device.
Huawei Mate 60 Features And Specifications
Huawei Mate 60 has a flat OLED 120 HZ display of 6.69 inch. The phone comes with a punch-hole in the center and offers full HD+ resolution (2688 x 1216 pixels). It has 1440 Hz PWM dimming.
The Mate 60 model lacks satellite connectivity that Mate 60 Pro model can support. The Mate 60 phone comes with 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and storage up to 1 TB UFS. It comes with Harmony OS 4.0 and no information is provided on the chipset in the device.
The front camera of Mate 60 model has 13 megapixel while the circular camera in the back has 50 megapixel. The back camera also paired with a 12 megapixel periscope telephoto camera that has 5x optical zoom, 50x digital zoom and supports OIS and comes with an ultra-wide lens of 12 megapixel.
The phone comes with a 4,750 mAh battery that can support 66W wired charging. It is also capable of supporting 50W wireless charging along with 7.5W reverse-wireless charging. The device is IP68-rated and has the second-generation Kunlun glass on its back.
It weighs 209 gms and measures 161.4x76x7.95 mm. The phones come in various colors: Ya Chuan Qing or green, Yandan Black, South Waxy Purple and White Sand Silver.
The Huawei Mate 60 comes with three variations with different prices. The starting price is 750 dollars for 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The phone with 512 GB storage costs 820 dollars while the 1 TB storage phone costs 960 dollars. The phone will be available for purchase by the 10th September in China.
