Ransomware newcomers have claimed to have hacked all of Sony’s systems. Ransomed vc. has been claiming their operation since this year, September. However, since then, this group has racked up many victims, and Sony is one of the entertainment giants.
The victim claimed the first hack on September 25th by a hacker tracking group named Cybersecurity Connect. It has been seen that the Ransomed.vc ransomware hacker gang has been handling operations for a short period of time. Ransomed.vc reported that they have incorporated some hack-proof data, which is remarked as not being compelled information.
The group has said it originally posted the hack’s details on both sites, including regular and dark internet sites. However, the regular site and social media platform accounts of Sony have been taken offline. This hack is listed on Sony’s dark website along with the group claiming to have successfully compromised all Sony systems.
Based on Siliconangle’s information, Sony is not the only company listed on the victim’s list of Ransomed.vc dark websites. But this group also claims to hack all Japanese mobile operator companies NTT Docomo. This group also demands a ransom payment of 1.05 million USD, not releasing any stolen data. There are also dozens of other victims on the list of this hacking group, although most are small enterprises. This is not the first time that Ransomed has hacked Sony’s devices.VC, but this company was also targeted in 2014 by North Korean hackers. That is why it was late in terms of releasing movies and so on.
