OpenAI Enhances GPT-4 And GPT-3.5 Models With Turbocharge And Copyright-Safe Features!

OpenAI is making waves in the world of AI language models with many improvements to its GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 models. Spoke of these upgrades are Turbocharge and Copyright Safety. These upgrades not only expand the knowledge base but also provide a more extensive context window, offering users a wealth of possibilities.

Taking a cue from industry giants Google and Microsoft, OpenAI is also taking steps to protect its customers from copyright litigation through its initiative known as Copyright Shield.

GPT-4 Turbo

OpenAI introduces GPT-4 Turbo, currently available through an API preview. This Turbocharged version of the GPT-4 model is packed with information up to April 2023, a significant leap from its predecessor, which was last updated in September 2021.

While an official release date for the production-ready Turbo model is yet to be disclosed, it’s clear that OpenAI is gearing up for a game-changing release.

GPT-4 Turbo offers a colossal 128K context window, equivalent to over 300 pages of text within a single prompt. This means that GPT-4 can now grasp complex questions and provide well-thought-out responses, thanks to its expanded context window. Compare this to earlier versions of GPT-4 with context windows of 8K and 32K, and the difference is striking.

Cost efficiency is also a key highlight of GPT-4 Turbo. Input costs just $0.01 per 1,000 tokens, while each output is priced at $0.03 per 1,000 tokens. In essence, OpenAI asserts that GPT-4 Turbo is three times more cost-effective than its predecessors, making it a win for developers.

Moreover, this latest iteration of GPT-4 retains its capability to handle image prompts, text-to-speech requests, and seamless integration with DALL-E 3. Users can now instruct the model to tackle even more complex tasks within a single prompt, including specifying their preferred coding language for results, such as XML or JSON.

GPT-3.5 Turbo: Upgraded And Affordable

GPT-3.5 Turbo, initially introduced in March as the go-to model for non-chat purposes, is receiving a major boost. With a default 16K context window, it aligns with the enhancements brought by GPT-4 Turbo. What’s even more exciting is the price tag. Input is a modest $0.01, and output is only $0.002, making it an attractive choice for companies.

In addition to these model enhancements, OpenAI has taken a proactive stance on copyright protection. Following in the footsteps of tech giants, they’ve introduced Copyright Shield, an initiative to protect enterprise users from legal claims related to copyright infringement. OpenAI is ready to step in, defend its customers, and cover the incurred costs when faced with such claims.

OpenAI’s commitment to innovation and user protection is evident in these developments. With Turbocharged models and a shield against copyright disputes, the future of AI language models is brighter than ever.
