Sony has announced the increment price for its PlayStation Plus game service subscriptions worldwide. It was implemented on 6 September 2023. In some regions, prices have increased by more than 30%, which is likely to be reduced by an ongoing subscription rate.
It is a handy device for those who want to enjoy PlayStation Plus. Players will need to accept the increment rate, and also have to ensure that they can adjust to the current cost-of-living crisis.
Here is the breakdown of the increased global Price, which is based on Sony’s official announcement:
The Price for 12-month subscriptions of PlayStation Plus Essential will be increased from 59.99 USD to 79.99 USD. In other regions, the prices will be increased up to 71.99 USD.
The Price for 12-month subscriptions to PlayStation Plus Extra will be increased from around 99.99 USD to 134.99 USD in the United States. In other regions, this will be priced up to 125.99 USD.
The Price for a 12-month subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium will be increased from around 119.99 USD to 159.99 USD in the United States. In other regions, the Price will be increased up to 119.99 USD.
The Australian price breakdown of PlayStation Plus:
The Price for 12-month subscription of PlayStation Plus Essential will be increased to AU $95.99
The Price for 12 month subscription to PlayStation Plus Extra will be increased to AU $169.99
The Price for 12 month subscription to PlayStation Plus Deluxe will be increased to AU $196.95
Sony has confirmed, “It allows the team behind PlayStation Plus to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service.”
