The new social media platform “Threads,” which is owned by Meta, has crossed 100 million users within just five days. According to the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has conveyed that this new social media platform is an impressive growth. Apart from that, Meta CEO also said this potential growth is entirely organic.
Remarkably, Threads has outpaced Twitter and is considered one of the fastest social media platforms reaching the milestone. On Monday morning, Zuckerberg posted on Threads, “Can’t believe it’s only been 5 days!”
Previously ChatGPT held the crown as the fastest-growing consumer application in history. On the other hand, TikTok required nine months after its first debut to build the user base. Recently, Threads has been known as a Twitter Killer because it expects that many users will migrate away from this old social media platform.
According to Forearena, “The platform plans to introduce more personalized recommendations in the future. Additionally, for users interested in a chronological feed, Threads has confirmed that they are actively working on implementing this feature.”
The user count for Threads can be seen within the social media platform Instagram. On the other hand, this platform also experienced an immediate surge in popularity, with 2 million users within the first two hours after its launch.
