Explainable Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to applications of methodologies and procedures that enable human experts to comprehend the results of a solution.
Contrast this with the “black box” idea in machine learning, where even the designers are unable to explain how the AI came to a particular conclusion. XAI is a way of putting the social right to information into practice.
In its most basic form, AI requires certain inputs and outputs. When I talk about explainable artificial intelligence, I mean the input factors’ influence on the result.
On the other hand, xAI is a company that Musk created to understand what the universe is. He mentions that this AI is not here to take anything away from humans but to make everything more understandable. He wants to ensure that we truly get the answers that we seek.
So why does it have ‘x’ in its name?
Haven’t you noticed how everything that Musk does or everything he owns (almost) begins or has the letter’ x’ in it?
YES, that’s right!
From his beloved company SpaceX to the name of his son X Æ A-12 Musk, which is often made fun of for being hard to pronounce, everything that holds value to him has the letter X.

Is xAI Going To Take Over ChatGPT? How Is It Different?
Now, there is one thing that a lot of people are concerned about. And it is the fact that Musk has launched xAI to take over OpenAI’s ChatGPT!
Dan Hendrycks, head of the Center for AI Safety, has been added to the advisory board of xAI by Musk, who served on the board of OpenAI at the time of its founding in 2015.
Members of the Center for AI Safety issued an open letter in May cautioning that the evolution of AI might cause an extinction event. They argued that managing technology ought to be a key focus on a worldwide scale.
Musk, who has criticized ChatGPT and the general approach other companies are taking to generative AI, however, stated that xAI would not seek to program morality into its AI engine explicitly but instead try to make it understand the true nature of the universe to make it safer, according to Reuters.
